ID 18547
<LoreItalics>The dark wizard-kings of grim Acheron plumbed its secrets, and when the lusty Hyborians broke that cruel kingdom beneath their heel, it passed southwards into dusty Stygia, where the bloody priests of that black land set it to terrible purposes in rites of which I dare not speak.</> - The Hand of Nergal Long ago, in the age before the oceans fell upon the doomed spires of Atlantis, the Book of Skelos tells of an object that came from the stars. A dusky orb of unknowable fabrication attuned to an eldritch and malign god that offered physical transmogrification in exchange for a blood sacrifice in the name of that evil entity: Nergal. Coveted by assassins and deceivers the world over, a small footnote (regrettably lost to time) explains that each user is mystically tattooed with an unseen sigil known as \'the Mark of Nergal\'.
