<LoreItalics>So she lay without conscious thought or motion, while outside the drums bellowed, the horns clamored, and barbaric voices lifted hideous chants, keeping time to naked feet slapping the hard earth and open palms smiting one another softly.</> - The Vale of Lost Women The call to battle is often sounded on small horns carried by cavalry. During a battle these horns are used to communicate and rally the troops. The one who winds this horn is sending an intimidating message to their enemies: "I am here, come and take me if you can!" This functioning warhorn has been masterfully embellished to be as gaudy and grandiose in appearance as it is loud.
