Hardened Steel Shield

ID 95707

<LoreItalics>Through a whistling cloud of arrows they plowed to break like a thundering wave on the bristling wall of spears and shields.</> - The Hour of the Dragon This hardened steel shield bears the swirling markings of a Cimmerian clan. Most warriors prefer to carry a shield into battle if there is one available. The best blow is the one that misses, but the second best blow is the one that you block. Cimmerians may be called savages and barbarians, but their understanding of metal smithing is relatively advanced. They know the riddle of steel, how to harden it for armor of unusually strong aegis.
